Buy Chicks
When searching to buy chicks, requesting photos from the aviary is suggested.
Today, the population of Bald eagles have recovered, but it still needs protection, because the reproductive rate of these birds is very low and they are very vulnerable to human encroachment. Though protected by law, Bald eagles are hunted by poachers for their talons and feathers. Being opportunistic feeders, these birds can eat game wounded with lead pellets and get poisoned. Poisoned carrion set out for wolves and coyotes can also be deadly for eagles. Collision with vehicles is another threat for these birds.
